In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently handling materials, operating heavy equipment, and maintaining a safe and organized warehouse environment. Your expertise in various types of forklifts and warehouse management systems will ensure smooth shipping, receiving, and inventory processes. Duties Operate a variety of warehouse equipment including reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers to load and unload shipments safely and efficiently. Manage inventory movements within the warehouse using warehouse management systems to track stock levels and locations accurately. Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment with attention to accuracy and timeliness. Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform basic repairs or coordinate maintenance to ensure optimal operation. Assist with warehouse distribution tasks such as organizing storage areas, stacking pallets, and maintaining a clean work environment. Support shipping and receiving activities by verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders and preparing outgoing deliveries. Handle materials with care, including heavy lifting tasks while adhering to OSHA safety standards. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve overall warehouse operations. Utilize mechanical skills for troubleshooting equipment issues promptly to minimize downtime. Maintain detailed records of inventory movements, repairs, and safety inspections. Qualifications Proven experience operating forklifts such as reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo lifts, pallet jacks, or order pickers in a warehouse setting. Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control procedures. Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation and materials handling. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic equipment repairs or identify maintenance needs. Excellent physical strength for heavy lifting tasks; capable of handling materials safely. Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipments. Prior experience in shipping & receiving processes within a distribution center or warehouse environment. Warehouse supervisor experience is a plus for candidates interested in advancement opportunities. Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail. Familiarity with order picking techniques and warehouse distribution best practices.
