Sit Down Forklift Operator

Job Description

Overview Noble Staffing is currently looking for Sit Down forklift drivers in the city of Piscataway, NJ. This position will include the following roles, fast-paced distribution, load and unload with the forklift, transport materials throughout the warehouse. We're looking for energetic, detail-oriented individuals who thrive in a team environment and are committed to maintaining safety standards while boosting productivity. 2nd shift Monday-Friday 4:00pm to 12:30am pay rate $20.00 Responsibilities Safely operate sit-down forklifts to load, unload, and move pallets, materials, and heavy equipment within the warehouse. Perform order picking using RF scanners and other warehouse management systems to ensure accurate shipment processing. Load and unload trucks efficiently, utilizing clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment as needed. Assist with shipping & receiving activities by verifying inbound and outbound shipments and ensuring proper documentation. Conduct routine inspections of forklifts and heavy equipment to maintain safety compliance per OSHA standards. Support warehouse distribution tasks including materials handling, order picking, and stacking items securely on pallets. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize storage solutions and improve operational workflows. Requirements Proven experience operating sit-down forklifts in a warehouse or distribution environment. Knowledge of warehouse distribution processes, order picking, shipping & receiving procedures. Familiarity with heavy equipment such as cranes, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and load/unload machinery. Mechanical knowledge related to forklift maintenance and troubleshooting. Ability to operate RF scanners and warehouse management systems accurately. Strong understanding of OSHA safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation and materials handling. Previous experience in construction or similar industries is a plus but not required.
