Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Bilingual (Spanish/English) Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. This role involves operating various types of material handling equipment, including forklifts, reach trucks, cherry pickers, and clamp trucks, to efficiently manage inventory and facilitate warehouse distribution processes. The ideal candidate will be fluent in two languages, possess comprehensive knowledge of warehouse operations, and demonstrate a strong commitment to safety standards. Duties Safely operate forklift trucks, reach trucks, cherry pickers, pallet jacks, and Hi-Lo equipment to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse. Perform order picking and shipping & receiving tasks with precision using barcode scanning systems and warehouse management systems. Conduct routine inspections and minor repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance. Manage inventory levels through accurate data entry and tracking within warehouse management systems. Assist with manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting and materials handling to support warehouse distribution activities. Support warehouse supervisor in maintaining organized storage areas and adhering to safety standards in production environments. Skills Proven experience operating various material handling equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, cherry pickers, pallet jacks, and Hi-Lo forklifts. Strong understanding of warehouse management systems, inventory management procedures, and barcode scanning for logistics. Knowledge of shipping & receiving processes along with materials handling best practices. Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for inventory counts and measurements. Excellent manual handling skills with an emphasis on heavy lifting techniques. Effective communication skills in two languages to coordinate seamlessly within diverse teams. Prior experience in warehouse supervision or distribution centers is a plus. This position is essential for maintaining efficient warehouse operations while prioritizing safety and accuracy.
