Job Title:
Forklift Operator Job Description The Forklift Operator safely and efficiently moves, loads, and unloads products in a fast-paced warehouse and yard environment. This role focuses on pulling and organizing orders, building pallets, and supporting all shipping and receiving activities to ensure accurate and timely customer deliveries.SHIFT:
7am to 4pm - Monday to Friday. Responsibilities Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, load, and unload products within the warehouse and yard. Pull orders accurately based on pick lists or RF scan instructions and prepare them for shipment. Build stable and organized pallets of product for shipping, ensuring proper stacking and securing of materials. Perform shipping and receiving tasks, including checking incoming and outgoing loads for accuracy and condition. Use RF scanning equipment to track inventory movement, confirm orders, and update stock records. Load and unload trucks and other vehicles, ensuring products are handled carefully and placed in the correct locations. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in both the warehouse and outdoor yard. Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of equipment and adherence to material handling guidelines. React quickly to changing customer demands and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Lift and move materials up to 50 lbs as needed to support warehouse and yard operations. Essential Skills Proven warehouse experience in a fast-paced environment. Hands-on experience operating forklifts for loading, unloading, and material handling. Experience in shipping and receiving, including handling incoming and outgoing orders. Ability to use RF scan equipment for inventory tracking and order verification. Capability to lift and move up to 50 lbs safely and repeatedly. Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate order pulling and pallet building. Ability to work efficiently outdoors and in a yard setting. Reliability and responsiveness to changing customer demands and operational priorities. Additional Skills & Qualifications Comfort working in a high-activity, fast-paced warehouse environment. Experience with shipping/receiving processes and documentation. Familiarity with basic warehouse organization and inventory practices. Strong work ethic and commitment to safety and proper equipment use. Why Work Here? The setting involves frequent movement, lifting up to 50 lbs, and using equipment such as forklifts and RF scanners. The atmosphere is active and hands-on, with a strong emphasis on safety, responsiveness, and efficient material handling. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Manahawkin, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
