Overview We are seeking a dedicated Sit Down Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating sit-down forklifts and other material handling equipment to efficiently load, unload, and organize inventory within our distribution center. Your expertise will ensure smooth warehouse operations, adherence to safety standards, and accurate inventory management. Responsibilities Safely operate sit-down forklifts, including reach trucks, cherry pickers, and Hi-Lo forklifts, to move materials throughout the warehouse Load and unload shipments using appropriate equipment such as pallet jacks and clamp trucks Conduct routine inspections and minor repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance Assist with inventory management by accurately scanning barcodes and updating warehouse management systems Pick orders efficiently using order picker equipment and prepare items for shipment or storage Follow warehouse safety protocols and OSHA regulations to prevent accidents and injuries Support shipping and receiving processes by verifying incoming and outgoing goods Maintain a clean and organized work environment to facilitate efficient warehouse distribution Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve materials handling procedures Requirements Proven experience operating sit-down forklifts, including reach trucks, cherry pickers, and Hi-Lo equipment Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and barcode scanning technologies used in logistics Familiarity with OSHA safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and materials handling Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting safely Basic math skills for inventory counting, measurements, and documentation accuracy Experience in warehouse operations, shipping & receiving, and inventory control Strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols in production environments Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety standards This position offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to our logistics operations through skilled forklift operation and materials handling.
