In this vital role, you will operate various heavy equipment including forklifts, roll clamp trucks, bale clamp trucks, and pallet jacks to efficiently load, unload, and organize materials. Your expertise in materials handling will ensure smooth distribution processes. Duties Safely operate forklifts, clamp trucks, and other heavy machinery to load and unload shipments. Conduct order picking using forklifts and clamp trucks and ensure accurate order fulfillment. Assist with inventory management through warehouse management systems. Support shipping and receiving activities by verifying shipments, inspecting for damages, and ensuring proper documentation. Perform routine equipment checks or notify maintenance for mechanical issues to maintain optimal operation. Handle materials with care during movement, stacking pallets securely, and ensuring compliance with OSHA safety standards. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize storage layouts and improve overall warehouse distribution efficiency. Requirements Proven experience operating forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment in a warehouse setting. Strong knowledge of inventory control procedures. Mechanical aptitude with basic repair skills for equipment maintenance a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the shift when necessary. Familiarity with OSHA regulations related to warehouse safety and equipment operation. Basic math skills for counting inventory and verifying shipments accurately. Previous experience in shipping & receiving or order picking is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
