Eaton 3rd shift Forklift Operator

In this vital role, you will operate various types of heavy equipment, including reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, and pallet jacks, to load, unload, and move materials within our distribution center. Duties Safely operate forklift equipment such as reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, and order pickers to load and unload shipments. Execute accurate order picking using warehouse management systems (WMS) and ensure correct item selection for shipping or inventory. Manage materials handling tasks including heavy lifting, stacking pallets, and organizing inventory within the warehouse. Conduct routine equipment inspections and minor repairs on forklifts and other heavy machinery to ensure optimal performance. Assist with shipping and receiving processes by verifying inbound and outbound shipments against documentation. Support warehouse distribution activities by maintaining organized storage areas and ensuring compliance with OSHA safety standards. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow, improve safety procedures, and enhance overall efficiency. Skills Proven experience operating various forklift types such as reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers in a warehouse environment. Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory control and order processing. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic equipment repairs and troubleshooting. Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation and materials handling. Excellent physical stamina for heavy lifting, prolonged standing, walking, and operating heavy machinery during shift hours. Basic math skills for counting inventory accurately and verifying shipment quantities. Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and warehouse supervisors for smooth operations.
