In this vital role, you will operate specialized heavy equipment to efficiently handle, load, and unload materials within our distribution center. Your expertise in warehouse management systems and equipment operation will ensure smooth and safe logistics operations. Responsibilities Safely operate double reach trucks, forklifts, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo, and pallet jacks to move materials across the warehouse Load and unload shipments with precision, ensuring proper handling of heavy and fragile items Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance Assist with order picking using various warehouse management systems and manual methods to fulfill customer orders accurately Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing inventory, stacking pallets, and managing storage space efficiently Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to coordinate materials handling tasks and maintain a clean, organized work environment Follow OSHA safety standards and company policies during all operations to prevent accidents and injuries Requirements Proven experience operating reach trucks, heavy equipment, or similar machinery in a warehouse setting Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and order picker technology Mechanical knowledge for equipment repair and troubleshooting minor issues Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle materials handling equipment such as pallet jacks and clamp trucks Familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures, order picking, and warehouse distribution processes Strong understanding of OSHA safety regulations related to forklift operation and materials handling Basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and documentation purposes Previous experience in warehouse supervision or team coordination is a plus but not required Valid certification for forklift or lift truck operation is preferred Join us in delivering excellence through efficient logistics!
