Overview We are seeking an experienced Reach Truck Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently operating reach trucks and other material handling equipment to manage inventory, facilitate shipping and receiving, and support overall warehouse operations. Your expertise will ensure safe, accurate, and timely movement of goods within a fast-paced distribution environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to safety standards, possess excellent warehouse management skills, and have prior experience with various types of forklifts and equipment. Duties Safely operate reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, and other heavy equipment in accordance with OSHA and safety protocols. Load and unload materials using appropriate equipment such as pallet jacks, lift trucks, and Hi-Lo forklifts. Pick, pack, and prepare orders accurately utilizing barcode scanning systems and warehouse management systems. Conduct routine inspections and minor repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance. Manage inventory levels through precise stock counting, manual handling, and updating warehouse management systems. Assist in shipping and receiving processes by verifying shipments against documentation and ensuring proper storage. Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing materials efficiently for easy access and retrieval. Follow manual handling procedures for heavy lifting tasks to prevent injuries and maintain safety standards. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow, improve inventory accuracy, and enhance overall operational efficiency. Qualifications Proven experience operating reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, forklift safety protocols, and other material handling equipment. Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management practices, and shipping & receiving procedures. Familiarity with OSHA regulations related to forklift operation and warehouse safety standards. Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts and order accuracy. Experience with barcode scanning technology for logistics purposes. Demonstrated ability to handle heavy lifting safely using manual handling techniques. Prior warehouse experience with a focus on materials handling, heavy equipment operation, and warehouse distribution processes. Excellent attention to detail coupled with effective communication skills to work collaboratively within a team environment.
