Job Description
Overview Our client is seeking a dedicated Forklift Operator to join their team. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient movement, storage, and management of materials within their facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of warehouse operations, safety protocols, and equipment handling. Responsibilities Operate various types of forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials safely and efficiently. Manage inventory through accurate barcode scanning and use of warehouse management systems to track stock levels and locations. Conduct routine inspections on equipment to ensure operational safety and compliance with OSHA standards. Follow warehouse safety protocols during manual handling and heavy lifting tasks to prevent accidents. Skills Proven experience operating forklift types such as reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, and lift trucks. Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and barcode scanning technology for logistics tracking. Familiarity with safety standards in production environments such as OSHA regulations.
