Forklift Operator

Forklift Operator - Solar Module Offloading
Location:
Shoemakersville, PA 19555
Start Date:
Tentatively first week of October

We are seeking experienced Forklift Operators for a short-term solar module receiving and offloading project in Shoemakersville, PA.
The project will involve receiving and offloading approximately 14 MW of solar modules, totaling roughly 800 pallets delivered across approximately 50 trucks.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts to safely unload pallets of solar modules from delivery trucks
- Transport and stage module pallets in designated receiving and storage areas
- Handle solar modules carefully to prevent material or equipment damage
- Perform daily equipment inspections prior to operation
- Work closely with the Site Foreman and laborers to maintain an efficient unloading process
- Follow all project safety requirements and established material handling procedures
- Assist with organizing and maintaining the module staging area
- Report damaged materials, unsafe conditions, or equipment issues immediately
Qualifications - Previous forklift operating experience required
- Experience unloading flatbeds, trailers, construction materials, solar modules, or similar palletized materials preferred
- Current forklift certification preferred
- Strong understanding of safe material handling practices
- Ability to work outdoors and in an active construction/material receiving environment
- Ability to work efficiently while maintaining safe handling of high-value materials
- Reliable transportation to the Shoemakersville, PA area
