Forklift Operator
Job Description Responsibilities Supervise and support packaging associates to ensure daily production goals are achieved.
Monitor packaging operations to ensure safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency standards are consistently met.
Coordinate staffing assignments and workflow to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.
Train, coach, and develop team members on operational procedures, quality standards, GMPs, and safety practices.
Conduct daily start-up meetings to communicate production priorities, expectations, and any process updates.
Ensure packaging equipment is operating properly and coordinate with maintenance when issues arise.
Review production schedules and adjust manpower as needed to meet customer requirements and deadlines.
Perform routine quality checks and verify that products are packaged according to specifications.
Maintain accurate production records, labor reports, and inventory documentation.
Enforce all company, OSHA, GMP, HACCP, and food safety guidelines within the packaging area.
Investigate production issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to improve performance.
Assist with continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, waste reduction, and operational excellence.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support smooth production flow and resolve operational challenges.
Promote a safe, clean, and organized work environment for all packaging associates. Essential Skills 3+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, food production, packaging, or a closely related environment.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, guide, and develop employees.
Experience working in a GMP-regulated environment (preferred but strongly beneficial).
Solid knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and quality standards.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced production environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and production reporting systems.
Strong communication skills with the ability to convey expectations clearly to team members and peers.
Effective problem-solving abilities to address production issues and implement practical solutions.
Capability to stand and walk for extended periods during the shift.
Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds as part of routine duties.
Comfort working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, moving equipment, and varying temperatures.
Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all safety requirements. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in food manufacturing or flavor/ingredient production.
Hands-on experience with packaging machinery, labeling systems, and quality assurance procedures.
Familiarity with HACCP principles and food safety programs.
Bilingual English/Spanish language skills are a plus.
Background in operations management or production supervision.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail when managing documentation and reports. Why Work Here? Work Environment This role is based in a nice, clean food manufacturing facility on 1st shift, Monday through Friday, typically from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The work takes place in a production area with packaging lines, moving equipment, and exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels. The position requires standing and walking for extended periods and frequently lifting up to 50 pounds. Team members wear required PPE and follow all safety, GMP, HACCP, and food safety guidelines to maintain a safe and compliant operation. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Warminster, PA. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $72800.00/yr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
