Job Summary

$19-$21/hr

A shift: 6a-6p

B shift 6p-6a

Weekend shift differential

Overtime as needed

The Material Handler supports production and warehouse operations by safely moving, staging, and delivering parts, raw materials, and finished goods using Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT). This role is critical to maintaining material flow, meeting production timelines, and supporting quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Safely operate PIT equipment including sit-down forklifts, stand-up forklifts, and tuggers

Deliver raw materials and parts to production lines

Transport finished and packaged goods from production to the warehouse

Stage materials correctly with proper labeling

Read and verify labels for part numbers, quantities, and descriptions

Identify material shortages and communicate issues to supervisors or team leads

Receive, sort, and distribute materials as instructed

Ensure materials and finished goods are not damaged during transport

Route damaged materials through required quality inspections

Perform PIT inspections and follow all safety procedures

Maintain clean and organized work areas using 6S principles

Communicate material flow issues, safety concerns, or delays

Work collaboratively with team members

Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED

Less than 1 year of manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred

Forklift/PIT experience preferred (or ability to become certified)

Ability to read labels and follow written instructions

Basic communication skills in English

Physical Requirements

Standing, walking, sitting for extended periods

Lifting, bending, reaching, and operating PIT equipment

Working in and around heavy machinery

Vision required for safe equipment operation

Manufacturing/production environment

Powered Industrial Trucks (forklifts, tuggers)

Radio communication devices

Exposure to moving machinery and materials
