Job Description
Summary:
Reporting directly to theManager:
Inbound, Outbound, Inventory, Materials, or Picking within the Distribution department; the Material Handler III duties include, but are not limited to, loading, unloading and moving material in the warehouse.Responsibilities:
Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves. Convey materials to designated storage areas. Effectively communicating with Table leads to facilitate efficient Material flow. Proactively identify damaged parts and call immediate attention to any damages/issues. Follow all safety procedures including proper usage of safety equipment and tools. Must demonstrate commitment, dependability, punctuality, and adherence to an agreed-upon schedule as determined by the Manager. Adhere to all safety, OSHA guidelines, work rules and policies and focuses daily on housekeeping inside and outside of the facility. Exhibits and adheres to the established VCC Core Values. Works effectively with others in a team environment to accomplish organizational goals and to identify and resolve problems. Must demonstrate commitment, dependability, punctuality, and adherence to agreed-upon schedule. While being present in the workplace to effectively collaborate and communicate amongst co-workers and teams. Performs other duties as assigned.Qualifications:
A minimum of 1 to 3 years of full-time industry experience in a warehouse, distribution center, order fulfillment center, logistics, supply chain operations or manufacturing environment. High school diploma or equivalent Experience picking parts or components from work instructions. Current Forklift license and certification. Ability to exhibit experience with stand-up high lift deep reach forklift equipment, pallet riders and/or stock pickers. Must exhibit the ability to read, write, understand, and speak English. Strong aptitude for and proficiency navigating Systems and Programs Experience in interior design, custom home building products, luxury home furnishings and/or lighting industry a plus Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with a strong attention to detail Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and changing priorities Ability to achieve results both independently and through others by fostering a spirit of teamwork and cooperation Demonstrate exceptional communication across all contact channels, including email, chat and phone Available to work a flexible schedule including weekends, early mornings, late evenings Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered for this roleWork Environment and Physical Requirements:

The role of the Material Handler III operates in a warehouse environment and requires the ability to carry out physical tasks safely, consistently, and in alignment with operational demands.Lifting & Carrying:
Frequently lifting and carrying materials up to 50 pounds, including team lifts for heavier items. Frequently climbs stairs to levels up to 15 feet above the ground floor. Walking /Standing:
Constantly required to walk or stand the entire shift.Movement & Posture:
Constantly performs physical motions such as bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling. Occasional kneeling and stooping throughout the shift.Manual Dexterity:
Frequently uses hands, wrists, and arms for handling materials, operating equipment, and performing repetitive motions including typing and handwriting. Frequent use of hand tools for assembly and repair. Material handling devices, scanning tools.Equipment Use:
Required to constantly operate equipment such as pallet jacks, carts, forklifts, cherry / high lifts, deep reach which requires constant movement of up to 30 feet in the air.Environmental Exposure:
Noise levels range from moderate to high, depending on activity. The employee is exposed to temperature-related weather conditions, including hot/cold conditions, depending on warehouse climate and seasonal factors.Optional:

Hours are typically Monday through Friday, full-time work hours with possible flexible work patterns as designated by the Supervisor and/or Manager. Availability before or after designated work hours and/or weekends may be required. Travel requirements do not exist for this position.
