Previous warehouse training or powered industrial truck training is beneficial. Experience Requirements Minimum 6 months of prior sit-down forklift experience required Experience loading, unloading, and moving materials in a warehouse or manufacturing environment Ability to read and interpret work instructions Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety Job Duties Safely operate a sit-down forklift to transport materials throughout the facility Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers Move products to designated storage and staging locations Pull, verify, and prepare orders for shipment Complete daily forklift inspections and equipment checklists Follow OSHA regulations, company policies, and safety procedures Maintain an organized and clean work area Assist with inventory movement and material handling as needed Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in warehouse, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or shipping and receiving is preferred. Current forklift certification or experience operating multiple classes of powered industrial equipment is beneficial. Experience using RF scanners, warehouse management systems (WMS), or inventory software is considered an asset. Individuals who demonstrate safe operating practices, teamwork, reliability, and productivity are well positioned for success as a Sit Down Forklift Operator. Physical Capabilities Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and climb on and off powered industrial equipment throughout the shift. Ability to lift, move, or reposition materials weighing up to 50 pounds when required. Ability to safely operate forklifts in busy warehouse and manufacturing environments. Ability to maintain awareness of surrounding personnel, equipment, and inventory while operating powered industrial vehicles.
