Full Job Description Forklift Operator Job Summary:
The Forklift Operator will be responsible for operating forklifts, including 6K to a 36K models, to move, load, and store materials. This role also involves maintaining safety standards, preparing products for shipment, and performing general warehouse duties.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct pre-use inspections of forklifts and related equipment at the start of each shift. Operate various forklifts, including 6K and 36K models, to store and remove materials. Prepare materials and products for shipment, ensuring they are properly loaded and staged. Load, unload, and track materials, accurately recording the number of units handled. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including the use of rigging and block & bracing techniques. Perform general housekeeping and other warehouse duties as assigned. Assist with other tasks and duties as needed to support the team.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of recent experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment. Familiarity with rigging and block & bracing techniques. Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently while following instructions. Commitment to following all safety regulations and maintaining a safe work environment. Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and perform a variety of tasks as needed. Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain accurate records.
