Forklift Operator Crown Staffing - 3.5 Clarksville, TN Job Details Full-time $19 - $20 an hour 1 hour ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Life insurance Qualifications Forklift Personal protective equipment (PPE) adherence Manufacturing facility experience Warehouse experience Materials handling Manufacturing Full Job Description Crown Staffing is currently seeking experienced Forklift Operators to fill openings with a local Manufacturing company in Clarksville, TN. Position Summary- The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently moving raw materials, work-in-process materials, finished tires, and other products throughout the manufacturing facility. This position plays an important role in maintaining an efficient production flow while following all safety, quality, and production requirements.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Operate sit-down, stand-up, or other powered industrial trucks as assigned. Safely transport raw materials, tires, pallets, containers, and finished products throughout the facility. Load and unload trailers and delivery trucks. Supply production lines with required materials in a timely manner. Remove finished products and production materials from manufacturing areas. Verify product quantities, labels, and locations when moving materials. Properly stage materials and finished products in designated areas. Perform daily forklift inspections and report any mechanical or safety issues. Follow all facility safety procedures, including pedestrian and forklift traffic rules. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Use RF scanners, inventory systems, or other material-handling equipment as required. Assist with inventory counts and material tracking. Communicate material shortages, damaged products, or other issues to supervisors. Follow all company policies related to safety, quality, attendance, and productivity. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Previous forklift experience preferred. Manufacturing, warehouse, or material-handling experience preferred. Ability to safely operate a forklift in a fast-paced industrial environment. Ability to read and understand basic work instructions and safety procedures. Basic math and counting skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to safety and detail. Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to frequently sit, bend, reach, and climb on and off equipment. Ability to lift, push, pull, and move materials as required. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with noise, heat, dust, and varying temperatures. Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Ability to safely operate equipment while maintaining awareness of surrounding employees and machinery.
Work Environment:
Fast-paced tire manufacturing environment. Exposure to manufacturing equipment, moving machinery, noise, heat, and industrial materials. Requires strict adherence to safety procedures and PPE requirements. Position may require overtime, weekends, or varying shifts based on production needs. Safety & Quality Expectations- Safety is a primary responsibility of this position. The Forklift Operator must operate equipment responsibly, follow all traffic and pedestrian safety procedures, complete required inspections, and immediately report unsafe conditions, equipment concerns, product damage, or other hazards to management. Performance Expectations- The successful candidate is expected to: Maintain safe forklift operation at all times. Meet production and material-handling expectations. Maintain accurate material movement and inventory practices. Follow all safety and quality procedures. Maintain dependable attendance and punctuality. Communicate effectively with supervisors and production personnel.
