Description:

This is a full-time position that will have both responsibilities of driving and warehouse work as assigned daily. Must have a safe driving record and place a high priority on operating a motor vehicle and warehouse equipment safely and courteously. Will work in warehouse operations or drive as assigned to maximize the efficiency of the overall Food Bank. This position will report to the Chief Operating Officer with direction coming from the warehouse Manager or Lead.

Job Responsibilities:

This position may require at times evening and weekend work Drive a box truck to make pickups and deliveries (retail, Agencies, schools, etc.) Physically capable of lifting and moving heavy objects and loading and unloading trucks with hand tools and mechanical equipment provided. Completing necessary paperwork related to the loads, inspection logs, product movement sheets, pallet labels, truck inspection, etc. Support warehouse replenishing product, building orders, organization, sanitation, and loading and unloading of trucks. Work on special projects as assigned Operating warehouse equipment Inventory of product Outgoing order accuracy Quality Control and Food Safety Driver and Warehouse Safety Following all USDA guidelines Provide great Customer Service Assist in School Tools as assigned Disaster work - provide emergency community response as assigned by management

Job Qualifications:

Customer service mentality, good communication skills Knowledge of area and roads, use of travel/traffic assistance tools or apps Self-motivated and positive outlook Capable of lifting up to 70 pounds Safe driving record. Commercial Drivers License not required. Knowledge of warehouse work and OSHA Safety guidelines Detail oriented and very organized Team player supporting all staff Certification on warehouse equipment a plus (can be trained and certified) Full-time position with job responsibilities in both driving a box truck and warehouse operations duties as assigned daily. Evening and weekend work may be required
