We are currently seeking a dependable, safety-focused Mobile Equipment Operator to join our Eagle Pass, TX facility . Position Summary The Mobile Equipment Operator is responsible for safely operating forklifts, heavy-capacity lift trucks, yard trucks, and Class 8 commercial vehicles to move tanks, trailers, steel, equipment, and other materials throughout the facility. This position plays a key role in shipping and receiving, inventory control, yard organization, and maintaining company assets. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, dependable, mechanically inclined, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. What You'll Do Safely operate forklifts with lifting capacities ranging from 5,000 to 40,000 pounds . Operate yard trucks and Class 8 commercial vehicles to move trailers and equipment throughout the facility. Load, unload, transport, stage, and organize tanks, steel products, trailers, parts, and other company assets. Complete shipping and receiving activities while ensuring accurate documentation and recordkeeping. Maintain physical and electronic inventory records for tanks, accessories, trailers, equipment, parts, and other company property. Perform daily equipment inspections and promptly report maintenance or safety concerns. Assist with inventory counts, audits, and inventory reconciliation. Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work environment. Work closely with operations, maintenance personnel, vendors, customers, and company drivers to support daily operations. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and quality. Perform additional duties as assigned to support business operations. Minimum of one (1) year of experience operating forklifts or other mobile equipment. Experience working in an industrial, manufacturing, warehouse, transportation, or logistics environment. Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Ability to safely operate forklifts, heavy mobile equipment, yard trucks, and other machinery as required. Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays when operational needs require. Ability to comply with all company safety policies, PPE requirements, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). Preferred Qualifications Experience operating heavy-capacity forklifts (20,000 pounds or greater). Experience operating yard trucks or Class 8 commercial vehicles. Shipping and receiving experience. Inventory control or warehouse management experience. Mechanical aptitude and experience performing basic equipment inspections. Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is a plus but not required. Working Conditions This position is performed in an industrial yard environment and requires working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. The employee should be able to: Stand and walk for extended periods. Frequently bend, twist, kneel, squat, reach, climb stairs, and climb ladders. Work safely at elevated heights when required. Lift up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally move materials weighing up to 100 pounds with appropriate assistance or mechanical equipment. Work in environments with varying temperatures, noise levels, dust, and other industrial conditions. Use hands, fingers, and vision continuously to safely operate equipment and complete inspections.
