Job Description -
Shipping and Receiving Specialist Schedule:
Week #1 Monday - Friday 9-5, Sat 9-2 SUMMARY This position coordinates the movement of customer's materials from suppliers through our Service Center Network.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Coordinates, schedules, and dispatches of all service requirements from local pickups through deliveries. Must be direct liaison between dock operations and internal / external customer Responsible for tracking, data input, and reporting of information to external and internal customers Responsible for inter-company and intra-company communication. Works with planning group on coordinating facility out bound volume Provides customer service to internal and external customers Prepare all inbound and outbound documentation Additional clerical duties as assigned Validation and verification of materials on dock to include labeling, pulling packing slips, moving boxes, opening boxes Generate reports providing Dock Coordinator s with the critical shipping information This job may require overseeing of loading activities (varies by center).
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of database software; internet software; inventory software; order processing systems; spreadsheet software and word processing software.
