- Job Title: Forklift Operator / Material Handler
- Job Description
- This role involves safely operating sit-down, stand-up, and reach forklifts to load and unload trucks, move materials throughout the warehouse, and support daily shipping and receiving operations. The position requires consistent heavy lifting, accurate order picking, and palletizing to ensure efficient and timely movement of products within a high-volume distribution environment.
- Responsibilities
- + Operate sit-down, stand-up, and reach forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials throughout the warehouse.
+ Load and unload trucks, ensuring products are handled carefully and placed in the correct locations.
+ Perform material handling tasks, including moving pallets, cases, and individual items as needed.
+ Consistently lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.
+ Perform palletizing activities, including building, wrapping, and staging pallets for shipment.
+ Execute order picking and case selection using RF scan guns and other warehouse tools.
+ Support shipping and receiving operations by loading, unloading, and organizing incoming and outgoing products.
+ Use pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment to transport pallets and materials safely.
+ Follow established procedures for picking, packing, and staging orders to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
+ Maintain a clean and organized work area, including pallets and storage locations.
+ Adhere to all safety guidelines and warehouse operating procedures while using forklifts and other equipment.
+ Assist with general labor tasks in the warehouse as needed to support team goals.
- Essential Skills
- + Proven experience operating sit-down forklifts in a warehouse or distribution environment.
+ Proven experience operating stand-up forklifts in a warehouse or distribution environment.
+ Proven experience operating reach forklifts or reach trucks for high-bay or rack storage.
+ Ability to consistently lift and move up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.
+ Hands-on experience with material handling, including loading, unloading, and moving pallets.
+ Experience with order picking and case selection in a warehouse setting.
+ Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes, including handling incoming and outgoing freight.
+ Ability to use RF scan guns for order picking and inventory tracking.
+ Experience operating pallet jacks and working with pallets and palletizing processes.
+ Comfort working in a non-climate-controlled distribution center environment.
- Additional Skills & Qualifications
- + Previous experience as a warehouse forklift operator supporting shipping and receiving operations.
+ Experience performing general labor tasks in a warehouse or distribution center.
+ Strong attention to detail when picking orders and staging pallets.
+ Ability to follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines consistently.
+ Reliable work ethic with the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
+ Good communication skills to coordinate with warehouse team members and supervisors.

Standard warehouse attire is required, including closed-toe footwear and clothing suitable for physical work in a distribution facility.

- This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Worth, TX.
- Pay and Benefits
- The pay range for this position is $21.
00 - $21.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
