Schedule:
Saturday-Wednesday | 1st Shift Position Summary We are seeking an experienced and dependable Sit-Down Forklift Operator to join our warehouse and distribution team in Grand Prairie, TX. The Forklift Operator will be responsible for safely operating a sit-down forklift to move, load, unload, stage, and organize materials and products throughout the warehouse and shipping areas. The ideal candidate has previous forklift experience, strong attention to safety, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This position requires reliable attendance, good communication skills, and the ability to safely handle materials while maintaining accurate inventory and production flow. Essential Job Duties Safely operate a sit-down forklift to move and transport materials, products, pallets, and other warehouse items. Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently. Move materials between receiving, storage, production, and shipping areas. Properly stage products and materials in designated locations. Stack and organize pallets and materials safely. Inspect forklift equipment before each shift and report any maintenance or safety concerns. Follow all forklift operating procedures and company safety policies. Maintain awareness of pedestrians, equipment, and other hazards in the work area. Verify product, pallet, and location information as required. Assist with shipping and receiving activities. Load materials according to shipping requirements and instructions. Maintain accurate inventory movement and documentation. Use scanners, RF devices, or warehouse management systems as required. Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards. Communicate effectively with supervisors, warehouse personnel, drivers, and other team members. Assist with general warehouse duties when forklift operation is not required. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous sit-down forklift experience required . Forklift certification is preferred; company certification may be provided as required. Previous warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, shipping, or receiving experience preferred. Ability to safely operate a sit-down forklift in a busy warehouse environment. Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions. Basic ability to read labels, product information, and warehouse documentation. Ability to safely lift, move, and handle materials. Strong attention to detail and safety awareness. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to work a Saturday-Wednesday schedule. Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will be: Safety-conscious and dependable. Experienced operating a sit-down forklift. Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Careful when maneuvering around people, racks, trucks, and other equipment. Organized and detail-oriented. Able to maintain productivity while following safety procedures. A reliable team player with a positive attitude. Physical Requirements This is an active warehouse position. The employee must be able to: Sit and operate a forklift for extended periods. Frequently enter and exit the forklift. Stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and squat as needed. Safely lift, carry, push, and pull materials. Work around moving equipment, forklifts, pallets, and warehouse machinery. Work in a warehouse environment that may include varying temperatures, dust, noise, and other normal industrial conditions. Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety footwear and other equipment as required.
