The ideal candidate will have hands-on forklift experience and a strong background working in a fast-paced produce or food distribution environment. This role is critical to ensuring the safe and efficient movement, storage, and handling of fresh produce.
Responsibilities:
Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to load, unload, and move produce within the warehouse Handle fresh produce with care to maintain quality and prevent damage Assist with receiving, staging, and shipping orders Perform daily forklift inspections and report any maintenance issues Follow all warehouse safety, food safety, and sanitation procedures Maintain a clean and organized work area Support other warehouse duties as needed
Requirements:
Minimum 6 months of forklift operating experience Minimum 2 years of experience working in a produce warehouse Familiarity with produce handling, storage, and temperature-controlled environments Ability to lift up to [weight, e.g., 50 lbs.] and stand for extended periods Strong attention to safety and detail Dependable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
