Duties Safely operate sit down forklift to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse. Manage inventory by accurately picking orders using order picker equipment and barcode scanning systems; ensure proper storage and retrieval of goods. Assist with shipping and receiving activities by verifying shipments against documentation, preparing items for dispatch, and recording movements in the warehouse management system. Conduct routine equipment inspections and minor repairs to maintain optimal performance while adhering to OSHA safety standards and forklift safety protocols. Support warehouse distribution by organizing materials efficiently, performing manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting, and ensuring compliance with safety standards in production environments. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow, improve inventory accuracy, and uphold safety standards across all operations. Document all activities meticulously through shift reports, incident logs, and inbound/outbound records to ensure transparency and accountability. Qualifications Proven experience operating various types of material handling equipment such as reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, forklifts (Lift truck), Hi-Lo machines, and manual pallet jacks. Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanning technology for logistics, shipping & receiving procedures, and inventory control practices. Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to forklift operation and warehouse safety standards in production environments. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following manual handling guidelines; physically capable of standing for extended periods during shifts. Basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and documentation accuracy. Prior experience in warehouse operations or distribution centers is highly preferred; warehouse supervisor experience is a plus.
