Job Description

Local Ogden wholesale lumber distribution company seeking a qualified forklift loader/operator who is energetic, hardworking and dependable with at least 3-4 years' experience loading flatbed trailers. Experience working in building materials such as lumber, plywood, OSB and engineered wood a plus. This individual will be responsible to quickly and accurately load and unload flatbed trailers by forklift, gather and pull material and assist in maintaining inventory accuracy. Additionally, all material handlers are responsible for keeping the yard, warehouses and their assigned work areas safe and clean.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Operates forklift in compliance with the Forklift training and safety guidelines. Prepare the paperwork required for distribution and shipping of products. Load lumber product onto flatbed trucks for delivery Receive goods into inventory -- place product in appropriate stock location. Maintains cleanliness and tidiness in working and assigned area. Assists in periodic inventory counts as requested.
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION REQUIRED
Must have a minimum of 1 to 2 years' experience loading. Forklift certification or presentable forklift driving skills. High school diploma (GED) preferred. Experience in building materials such as lumber, plywood and

Read, write and understand the English language. Work independently, at times under pressure Sense of urgency; meeting of deadlines Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Must be able to lift 50 lbs Must be detail oriented and organized.
