Perform operions in the renovion, modificion, demilitarizion, and preservion of ammunition and explosives ranging from small arms to 280 millimeters, to include mines, grenades, and rockets. Destroy a variety of explosives, ammunition, and propellants by detonion and burning. Prime explosives according to firing system and test continuity of electrical system. Opere electric, diesel, or gasoline-powered forklift trucks to move, stack and unstack merials. Disassembly and breakdown of ammunition items opering pull-apart or breakdown machines to separe projectiles from shell casings, and base or nose plugs from bombs and mines. Requirements Help Conditions of employment Must successfully complete training in hazardous waste management procedures within six months after the de of appointment to this position. Performs hazardous waste management duties and/or hazardous waste worker duties in permitted or reguled facilities. Must meet the requirements of AMCR 350-4, Training and Certificion Program for Personnel Working in Ammunition Operions. Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determinion, as determined by a completed background investigion. Subject to AR 190-11, Physical Security of Arms, Ammunition and Explosives (AA and E) certificion. Medical evaluion may be required. Subject to random drug testing Subject to the Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968. Valid ste driver's license required. Forklift certificion required within 6 months of appointment.

• Minimum Qualificions (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a(n) Explosives Worker (Forklift Operor)~ Without more than normal supervision, I have experience working in production, rework, and maintenance ammunition operions or destroying a variety of explosives, ammunition, or propellants by detonion or burning.

Operion of an electric, gasoline, or diesel powered fork lift truck. Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible ring.

Physical effort:

Work involves lifting and working on production including standing, reaching, bending, stooping and manipuling carrying of items weighing up to 45 pounds lines rhythmic pace for extended periods parts and using machines and hand tools. During fork lift operion, physical effort is required in braking and steering, manipulion of clutch, shift, lifting and tilting mechanisms.

Working Conditions:

Work is usually performed indoors, or outdoors in covered areas or passageways which provide some protection. Work areas are usually well lighted and ventiled. Some operions, however, such as melting powder or steaming out powder, cause uncomfortable steam or he in the work area. Workers are required to stand on floors made of concrete, lead or conductive composition. They wear protective clothing such as specially treed coveralls, respirors and goggles on many assignments. They are frequently exposed to moisture and wet floors as a result of cleanup operions in powder working areas. They are exposed to the possibility of explosion and flash fire. There is chance of injuries ranging from loss of life or limbs to bums, cuts, bruises, sprains and nausea. Educion This job does not have an educion qualificion requirement.
