Description:

POSITION SUMMARY

Under the supervision of the Yard Supervisor, this position supports the Inventory department by verifying quantities on outbound shipments, operating, inspecting and fueling the forklifts as well as support the inventory department in all areas of the plant; and is responsible for supporting and demonstrating the Core Values of Integrity, Safety, Respect, Customer Focus, Quality, Innovation and Financial Success. Performs other related duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Checks outbound shipments for accuracy.
  • Conducts cycle counts.
  • Change delivery notes to reflect loading changes and inventory shortages.
  • s maintain an accurate and orderly inventory.
  • Participates in semi-annual inventory counts.
  • Inspects, maintains, and fuels forklifts as needed.
  • Empty dump hopper.
  • Adjust fork spacing.
  • Load brick on trucks.
  • Move through the yard, aisles, and cross aisles.
  • Stack product in the yard.
  • LoadUnload supplies
  • Verify tags on pallets.
  • Bring in packaging supplies.
  • Maintains work area according topany specifications for cleanliness and safety.
  • Abides bypany and OSHA safety rules and regulations.
  • All other duties and responsibilities assigned from time by thepany or its designated representatives.
  • Attends safety meetings and abides by all safety rules set forth by thepany and governmental regulatory agencies; and ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
  • Predictable and Regular attendance is required.

Works overtime and weekends as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, andor ability required.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 1-year experience driving a forklift and bepany certified.
  • Requires on the job training to be able to perform duties.
  • Ability tomunicate effectively with peers, customers, and superiors.
  • Strongmunication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to follow simple instructions.
  • Basic reading, writing and math skills.
  • Predictable and Regular attendance is required.

Works overtime and weekends as needed.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

PPE PAY RANGE
