Full/Part Time Full Location Norfolk Schedule M-F:

OVERVIEW A
warehouse worker is responsible for efficiently and safely managing the flow of materials throughout the facility. This includes receiving, storing, handling, and shipping materials. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES 1.
Receive & Unload Materials:
Unload incoming shipments, ensuring they match purchase orders and are free of damage. 2.
Inventory Management:
Track inventory levels, maintain accurate records of materials, and perform regular cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy. 3.
Storage Management:
Organize and store materials in designated areas according to established procedures, ensuring easy retrieval and minimizing damage. 4.
Shipping Preparation:
Prepare materials and products for shipping, including packaging, labeling, and staging for delivery. Load Outbound Carrier. 5.
Documentation:
Complete and maintain accurate records of all material transactions, including receipts, shipments, and inventory adjustments.
REQUIREMENTS
- Safety compliance: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Equipment operation: Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Team collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including production, quality control, and shipping, to ensure the smooth flow of materials.
Communicate effectively with supervisor and co-workers.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma
- Forklift Experience, Certification Preferred
- Basic Computer Skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
MUST PASS TSA BACKGROUND CHECK TO WORK AT FACILITY WORK CONDITIONS
Warehouse:
Unconditioned Environment (not temperature controlled)
- Requires standing, walking, bending and lifting for extended periods
- Use of safety equipment as required (steel toe boots, back brace, etc.
)
