Forklift Operator Job Description We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team. The role involves operating forklifts, managing inventory control, and performing data entry tasks. You will be responsible for ensuring efficient warehouse operations by processing, packaging, and shipping orders accurately. Responsibilities Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment such as hand trucks and pallet jacks. Process, package, and ship orders accurately. Organize stocks and maintain inventory. Inspect products for defects and damages. Examine ingoing and outgoing shipments. Organize warehouse space efficiently. Receive, unload, and place incoming inventory items appropriately. Check, verify, and fill customer invoices. Adhere to all company safety and hygiene regulations. Essential Skills Experience in forklift operation and warehouse settings. Proficient in using computers and warehouse data systems. Strong organizational and teamwork skills. Ability to lift or move heavy products. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous warehouse experience is preferred. Ability to operate a range of warehouse equipment. Why Work Here? While the environment is non-climate controlled, it is very clean and well-maintained. The work schedule is Monday through Thursday from 6 am to 4 pm, and Friday from 6 am to 2 pm. We are transitioning to a consistent 40-hour workweek with four 10-hour days. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ruther Glen, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
