The Warehouse Associate & Forklift Operator is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations, including loading and unloading materials, organizing inventory, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment. This position plays an essential role in ensuring materials and shipments are handled safely, accurately, and efficiently.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES
Move, organize, and relocate inventory, pallets, and materials throughout the warehouse. Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments from trucks and delivery vehicles. Operate warehouse equipment including pallet jacks, hand trucks, and forklifts. Inspect forklifts and warehouse equipment before use and report any maintenance or safety concerns. Verify shipment contents against manifests and report any discrepancies. Assist with inventory counts and stock organization. Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly warehouse environment. Label, wrap, and store items according to company procedures. Follow all warehouse safety protocols and report hazards immediately. Collaborate with team members to meet daily productivity and shipping targets. Physical Requirements Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy items (up to 50-75 lbs.) repeatedly throughout shifts. Comfortable standing, walking, stooping, and bending for extended periods. Ability to work in varying warehouse environments. Skills & Experience Prior experience in a warehouse, logistics, or moving environment preferred. Familiarity with warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks. Knowledge of proper lifting techniques and safe material handling practices. Ability to read and interpret shipping labels, manifests, and inventory documents. Professional Qualities Highly organized with strong attention to detail. Reliable, punctual, and able to meet productivity standards. Team-oriented with the ability to take direction and work independently. Strong time management skills to meet deadlines and schedules. Technical Requirements Basic computer or tablet skills for inventory tracking systems a plus. Forklift certification preferred (or willingness to obtain). Valid driver's license preferred. Other Requirements Must pass a background check and drug screening. Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and overtime. Must comply with all warehouse safety regulations and company policies. Steel-toed boots and appropriate safety gear required.
