Fuze HR is proud to partner with a locally-owned, leading chemical distribution company in Seattle seeking a reliable and safety-focused Sitdown Forklift Operator to support daily warehouse and distribution operations. This individual will be responsible for handling materials, preparing shipments, maintaining inventory, and safely operating warehouse equipment, including a sit-down forklift. This is a partially outdoor environment, so you must be comfortable working outside in any weather elements. The ideal candidate has previous warehouse experience, takes pride in maintaining a safe and organized work environment, and can work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Key Responsibilities Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments safely and efficiently. Operate a sit-down forklift to move, stage, load, and organize materials throughout the warehouse. Receive, inspect, and verify incoming products and materials. Move, stack, and organize inventory in designated warehouse locations. Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including preparing products for transportation. Handle drums, containers, totes, and other materials in accordance with company safety procedures. Understand and participate with the pH monitoring opening/closing of vault valve daily log Keep warehouse areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards. Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including appropriate handling requirements for warehouse materials and chemical products. Inspect forklifts and other equipment before use and report any maintenance or safety concerns. Assist with general warehouse duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

Previous experience working in a warehouse, distribution, shipping/receiving, or material handling environment. Previous experience operating a sit-down forklift is required. Ability to safely move and handle materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Experience with Tank Bays and Rail Spur Transloading Operations is a plus Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to regularly stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift throughout the shift. Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds. $23-24/hr.
