Job Description

Description We are currently seeking a 3rd Shift Material Handler to join our receiving team! Our Material Handlers are responsible for safely and accurately moving product throughout the plant where and when it is needed. Thanks to our Material Handlers, our customer orders can be fulfilled and moved quickly! Essential Duties and Responsibilities Checks the receiving schedule daily. Unloads incoming trucks and transfers at both Mittera locations in a timely manner. Scans and receives new loads into the Monarch System. Ensures proper documentation. Locates the "live stock" already in inventory. Scans and transfers to proper bin location. Keeps inventory neat and accurate. Performs random spot checks. Condenses rows whenever possible. Participates in inventory counts. Keeps all presses stocked with rolls for the job they are running. Has the next job staged if necessary.
Processes Material Request sheets:
reads, understands, and prioritizes by press/time. Communicates with press crews any questions, concerns, or last minute schedule changes. Returns rolls that are no longer needed into inventory. Scans and transfers rolls to proper bin location. Replaces ink totes when needed. Ensures they are weighed, have proper paperwork, and placed in assigned location. Loads the recycle trailer daily. Moves press product off the press line such as sigs, sheeters, and waste. Always keeps work area clean by picking up paper, sweeping, etc. Assist other Material Management departments when possible. Ensures production meets proper department goals and metrics. Performs all other duties as assigned. Requirements 1 - 3 years of previous material management experience preferred. Safely operate a forklift, clamp truck, pallet jack, and any other lift equipment required for the job (following appropriate training). Full comprehension in reading work instructions and business memos. Effective communication skills with all levels within the organization. Basic computer skills. Physical Requirements Requires use of proper body mechanics with pushing, pulling, reaching, lifting, squatting, kneeling and bending. Pushing/pulling and lifting up to 50 lbs. Requires working around and operating departmental equipment.
