Job Description

Description:
Nyhus Enterprises is looking for a dependable and safety-minded Forklift Operator to join our team. This position is responsible for moving materials throughout the facility, keeping production lines supplied, loading and unloading products, and maintaining an organized and safe work area. The ideal candidate works well both independently and as part of a team, pays close attention to detail, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities Include:
Safely operate forklifts, hoists, elevating platforms, and other material-handling equipment Load, unload, transport, stack, and store materials throughout the facility Inspect loads for accuracy and move materials safely to the correct location Keep production lines staged and supplied with the materials needed to maintain workflow Assist with loading and packaging parts on production lines as needed Position and secure pallets, skids, boxes, and other materials for safe transport Weigh materials or products and accurately record information on tags, labels, or production documents Perform routine equipment care, including cleaning, lubricating, charging batteries, fueling, or replacing propane tanks Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Follow all company safety procedures and work instructions
Requirements:
Ability to safely operate hand tools and mechanical equipment Good verbal and written communication skills Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety Ability to work independently and contribute as part of a team Ability to make decisions and solve problems in a fast-paced environment Willingness to learn new skills and expand technical knowledge Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and move materials throughout the shift Comfortable working in temperatures that may range from approximately 60 to 100 degrees Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with moderate noise levels
