Forklift Operator Responsibilities:
- Operate forklift equipment to perform required duties to support production, fill customer orders and ensure consistent flow of materials both inbound and outbound
- Meet department goals for efficiency
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts
- Fill customer production orders accurately and efficiently, ensure that product is stored, received and shipped to quality standards
- Perform timely and accurate transactions to maintain the integrity of inventory systems
- Complete shift documentation/paperwork
- Maintain department equipment by performing daily checks, maintain department KPI's
- Participate in safety programs, follow all established safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE Requirements for
Forklift Operator:
- Ability to lift up to 10 lbs continuously (cases of product and hand tools)
- Ability to lift 11-30 lbs regularly (3-4 times per shift)
- Ability to lift 31-50 lbs occasionally (1-2 lbs per shift)
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, twist and stand for long periods of time
- Ability to work in warm environments
- At least three years of forklift experience
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to read, write and speak English to meet training, safety and quality requirements
- Basic math skills
