In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently operating various types of material handling equipment, including forklifts, reach trucks, cherry pickers, and clamp trucks, to safely load, unload, and move products within the warehouse. Your expertise in warehouse management systems and inventory control will ensure smooth distribution operations. Responsibilities Safely operate forklift trucks, reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and Hi-Lo equipment to load and unload shipments efficiently. Manage inventory by accurately scanning barcodes, updating warehouse management systems (WMS), and conducting regular stock counts. Assist with order picking and shipping & receiving processes to ensure timely delivery of products. Follow all forklift safety protocols and OSHA regulations to maintain a safe work environment. Perform routine equipment inspections and minor repairs to ensure optimal operation of heavy machinery. Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing materials for easy access and efficient storage solutions. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to coordinate daily tasks and improve overall warehouse operations. Qualifications Proven experience operating forklift equipment such as lift trucks, reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, and manual handling tools. Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and barcode scanning technology for logistics purposes. Knowledge of safety standards in production environments including OSHA regulations and forklift safety protocols. Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely while maintaining proper ergonomics. Basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and data entry accuracy. Previous warehouse experience with shipping & receiving or distribution is highly preferred. Valid certification for forklift operation; additional certifications like warehouse supervisor experience or equipment repair are a plus.
