Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Forklift Operator to join our team on 2nd shift. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting ingredients, packaging materials, and finished goods throughout the facility to support efficient production operations. The ideal candidate has forklift experience, strong attention to detail, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Essential Responsibilities
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
Load, unload, move, and store raw materials, packaging, and finished products.
Generate and follow pick sheets while maintaining First-In, First-Out (FIFO) inventory practices.
Deliver ingredients and packaging materials to production lines in a timely manner to support continuous operations.
Utilize RFID scanners and Warehouse Management System (WMS) software to accurately track inventory movements.
Inspect forklifts daily and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
Complete trailer inspections and maintain accurate documentation.
Identify and communicate inventory or load discrepancies to Quality and Production teams.
Follow all company safety, food safety, quality, GMP, HACCP, SQF, and regulatory requirements.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Assist other departments as needed and perform additional duties assigned by management.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Previous forklift operating experience required; forklift certification is preferred.
Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred.
Basic understanding of inventory control and warehouse operations.
Familiarity with HACCP, GMPs, allergen awareness, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Basic computer skills and the ability to learn warehouse management systems.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required.
