This position is ideal for someone who wants to begin a career in nonprofit fundraising. Approximately 75% of the role focuses on fundraising , with 25% dedicated to administrative tasks The Development Associate works closely with the Executive Director and program staff to support communications, fundraising events, and gift processing, while gaining hands-on experience in nonprofit development. Key Responsibilities Fundraising & Donor Support (75%) Assist with annual fundraising campaigns, including mail appeals, online giving, and seasonal campaigns Support donor stewardship efforts, including thank-you letters, acknowledgments, and recognition activities Help plan and support fundraising events and community-based activities Create posts for our website and social media channels Contribute to grant writing efforts by researching grant opportunities and writing narratives Administrative & Database Support (25%) Process donations & acknowledgements, maintain donor database Prepare mailings, assist with filing and record-keeping Provide general administrative support Qualifications Bachelor's degree in communications, English, or a related field Interest in the nonprofit sector Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Clear written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
