Job Description
Project Purple is a leading 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to raising awareness and funds towards a cure for pancreatic cancer. Pancreatic cancer is the third most common cause of cancer related deaths in the United States and has a five year survival rate of less than nine percent. Project Purple strives to help families that have lost their battle and are still battling with this disease by providing research funding towards a cure or early detection tool and offering financial aid to pancreatic cancer patients fighting this disease.

We are looking for a full time (40 hours/week) walk run fundraising manager for the main branch in Seymour, CT to work with our programs. The work week is Monday through Friday from 9AM to 5PM. Our ideal candidate will be an effective communicator, both in writing and in speaking, will have excellent people skills, and will show initiative in their new role. Critical thinking and problem solving skills, along with the ability to work independently are absolutely necessary. Some of the duties will include: Help manage endurance program consisting of national and international road race teams Working with fundraising teams to reach fundraising goals Recruit prospective runners to various road races Sharing fundraising stories with participants on a weekly basis Creating a great experience for all participants and managing that experience Traveling to events for pre and post activities Working event expositions and other events to recruit and retain participants Working with staff internally to manage fundraising program Helping with staff travel arrangements to various events nationwide Coordinating mailings for participants for various events nationwide Tracking and organizing expenses related to endurance program Organizing and maintaining a timeline and schedule for the office staff for the events that you are managing Greeting clients; answering phone; replying to inquiries; screening and responding to emails Processing donations and issuing tax receiptsRequired and Preferred Skills and Experience:
