The Humane Society of St. Lucie County is looking for a Director of Development to provide strategic leadership for our fundraising, philanthropy, marketing, and community engagement efforts, and ensure the long-term financial sustainability of our organization. If you're a relationship-builder who thrives on turning donor connections into real, lifesaving outcomes, this is your next big role. You'll report directly to the Executive Director and work hand-in-hand with our Board of Directors, staff, volunteers, and community partners to fund and shape the future of our organization. What You'll Do Lead fundraising strategy: build and execute annual campaigns (Giving Tuesday, peer-to-peer, direct mail, online giving) and cultivate major donor relationships alongside our Executive Director Grow philanthropy: manage donor stewardship, appreciation programs, and a full development plan that keeps supporters engaged and giving Own our brand and voice: oversee marketing, social media, website content, storytelling, and public relations Bring in the grants: research, write, and manage grant applications and reporting Run standout events: direct fundraising and community events from sponsorships to logistics to post-event follow-up Build community partnerships: represent HSSSLC at networking events and grow corporate sponsorships Lead our
