Job Description
We seek applicants for a full-time position to provide leadership for the Foundation's annual giving efforts, with a focus on transitioning donors from event participation to philanthropic investment. The Associate Director oversees annual giving to the Foundation's Funding Priorities, the Employee Campaign, Director and Presidential fundraising meetings, as well as annual scholarship creation. General responsibilities include, but are not limited to Provide leadership for and manage the operation of an annual campaign, including direct mail solicitation, personal solicitation, and other outreach. Lead the Employee Giving Campaign, fostering meaningful employee engagement with the Foundation's mission and impact. Develop and implement Foundation Board and Presidential small group personal giving appeals. Transition event donors into ongoing supporters through scholarship or programmatic giving opportunities. Manage the Foundation Funding Program, including solicitation of ideas from internal audience, fundraising execution, fund distribution, and impact reporting. Partner closely with Director to identify donors with major gifts potential and support strategies to advance their engagement and giving. Support the Executive Director, Director, and the Board in fundraising activities, donor engagement, and related outreach. Bachelor's degree Experience with annual giving fundraising campaigns. Experience with fundraising administration including database management. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to work inclusively with diverse constituents, including board members, donors, volunteers, and other campus community members. Availability to work occasional evenings and weekends for Foundation and College events. Familiarity with the mission of a community college Familiarity with HCC's district and community leadership Familiarity with Blackbaud's Raiser's Edge fundraising software or similar fundraising CRM system. Record of securing sponsorship support from corporations and/or individuals Proven ability to lead and motivate a diverse team of volunteers to meet fundraising goals Applications received by May 6, 2026 will receive priority consideration, with review of applications continuing as needed.
THIS POSITION IS BASED IN CENTRAL ILLINOIS AND ABILITY TO BE PRESENT ON-CAMPUS/IN-PERSON IS REQUIRED.
