Role Description :
Reporting to, and partnering with, the CEO, the Annual Giving/Development Manager is charged with generating funding and strengthening the development function of this vibrant, emerging not-for-profit organization. In this full-time, salaried position, the successful candidate will develop and execute fundraising efforts that result in increased philanthropic support and diversification of sources of support. Opportunity, best tapped via written proposals/presentations, exists across individual/corporate/foundation donors. Consistent with Bounce's culture, emphasis is placed on engaging experiences that maximize support from existing donors and attract new donors. Achieve goals through prioritization, design, development, execution, evaluation and continual improvement of fundraising activities - with emphasis on building annual revenue Support special events and volunteer led fundraising activities Develop & maintain a comprehensive development calendar Develop/submit grants and funding proposals, as well as stewardship materials Ensure compliance with fundraising & financial reporting code of conduct/requirements Oversee systems & infrastructure to create/maintain a best-practices fundraising operation Other duties as assignedIndividual Giving:
(~20%) Plan and execute annual giving campaigns and strategies that grow revenue, retain existing donors, acquire new donors, increase average gift size, and identify next gen major gifts Support the CEO in cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of major giftsCorporate & Foundation Relations:
(~25%) Partner with CEO in executing grant management processes of researching, writing, submitting, reporting and stewarding. Compile requisite materials and data for proposals and reports. Conduct research to identify and analyze new opportunities to diversify funding sourcesDonor Communications and Stewardship:
(~20%) Manage and enhance a 'best practices' donor stewardship/recognition program, including acknowledgements, communications, and donor appreciation activities/eventsSpecial Events & Targeted Campaigns:
(~30%) Support planning and execution of two annual special events and a small number of targeted campaigns, with focus on donor/sponsor experience, solicitation and stewardshipOperations:
(~5%) Team with Operations Manager to ensure accurate & up-to-date donor and prospect records are maintained inSalesforce Job Qualifications :
Required:
BA degree (or equivalent) and 1-3 years fundraising/development experience Passion for Bounce mission/vision; empathy toward those impacted by chronic pediatric illness Outstanding oral communication, persuasive writing, and active listening skills that motivate Proven ability to articulate clear and compelling messages, including use of storytelling. Polished, poised professional who thinks creatively & critically; exhibits energy & enthusiasm Strong multi-tasking & organizational skills, with attention to detail, accuracy, deadlines Proactive, goal focused, results oriented, data driven, self-starter with a powerful work ethic Flexible, nimble, able to thrive in fast-paced environment & maximize limited resources Team oriented with exceptional, collaborative interpersonal skills; able to work independently Problem solver who plans, tracks, and follows-thru in managing both projects and time Donor-centric decision-maker with integrity, judgment, discretion to handle confidential info Proficient in Microsoft Office, Social Media, and Internet Valid Driver's License. Ability to travel locally. Flexibility to work occasional evening/weekends.Desirable :
