Food Finders Food Bank is seeking an inspiring Director of Development to advance philanthropy, deepen donor engagement, and help drive a hunger-free future across North Central Indiana. As Director of Development, you will play a vital leadership role in shaping and executing fundraising strategies that sustain and grow our impact. Partnering closely with the Chief Advancement Officer, you will lead day-to-day development operations while managing a portfolio of donors and prospects who are passionate about ending hunger in our communities. What You'll Do Drive Fundraising Growth You will help lead the development and execution of fundraising strategies that advance Food Finders' mission and support long-term sustainability. By identifying opportunities, evaluating results, and adapting approaches, you will help ensure the organization continues to grow its impact throughout the region. Build Meaningful Donor Relationships You will cultivate and steward a portfolio of mid-level and major donors, creating personalized experiences that strengthen engagement and inspire investment in our mission. Through authentic relationship-building and thoughtful stewardship, you will help supporters see the difference their generosity makes. Strengthen Development Operations You will oversee the systems, processes, and campaigns that support a successful fundraising program. From annual appeals and donor communications to grant oversight and database management, you will ensure the development function operates efficiently, strategically, and effectively. Expand Community Engagement You will serve as an ambassador for Food Finders, building relationships with donors, partners, and community stakeholders. Working alongside the Marketing & Communications team, you will help elevate awareness of our mission and inspire broader community support. Lead and Empower a High-Impact Team You will supervise and mentor members of the Development team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Through coaching and leadership, you will help build a team that delivers exceptional results while remaining focused on mission and impact. What You Bring A passion for connecting people to meaningful causes and inspiring generosity that changes lives. A strategic mindset and the ability to translate organizational goals into successful fundraising initiatives. Experience building strong donor relationships and achieving fundraising results. Strong leadership skills with a commitment to developing people and fostering collaboration. Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage diverse audiences with authenticity and purpose. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, business administration, fundraising, communications, or a related field. Five years of relevant experience in fundraising, development, donor relations, or nonprofit leadership. Demonstrated success cultivating donor relationships and achieving fundraising goals. Three to five years of experience leading and developing staff. Food safety certification (provided upon hire). An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
