Boys & Girls Club of Noblesville:
For 75 years, the Boys & Girls Club of Noblesville has provided local kids with a safe place to learn, grow, build relationships and have fun. Today, BGCN serves more than 2,200 youth ages 5 to 18 each year through after school programs, summer programs, youth sports, Camp Crosser and other opportunities focused on Academic Success, Healthy & Active Lifestyles, Good Character & Citizenship, and Life & Workforce Readiness. Position overview:
The Development Coordinator works closely with the Director of Development to build and strengthen relationships with the donors, businesses, foundations and community partners who make the work of BGCN possible. This position plays an important role in the day to day execution of our Annual Fund, donor stewardship, fundraising campaigns, special events and overall development operations. The right person will be organized, personable and a strong communicator who is comfortable managing multiple projects at once. We are looking for a self-starter who can take ownership of responsibilities, meet deadlines and build genuine relationships with the people who support our mission.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in managing the day to day execution of BGCN's Annual Fund, including donor renewals, direct mail, email campaigns, personal outreach and other fundraising strategies. Work directly with board and staff members to assist with peer-to-peer campaigns and portfolio management. Help develop strategies to acquire new donors, retain current donors and increase donor engagement. Track key fundraising metrics including dollars raised, donor retention, renewals, engagement and campaign performance. Assist with additional fundraising campaigns and special initiatives throughout the year. Assist with grant applications, reports and requests for corporate and in-kind support. Help identify opportunities to introduce prospective donors and community partners to the Club through tours, events and other engagement opportunities. Help implement BGCN's annual donor stewardship plan and individual stewardship strategies for donors, sponsors, foundations and volunteers. Work with Club staff and Club Kids to identify stories, photos and impact information that help demonstrate the difference BGCN makes in the lives of local youth. Build and maintain relationships with donors through personal communication, thank you calls, notes, Club visits and other meaningful touchpoints. Maintain the Stewardship & Cultivation calendar and ensure deadlines are met for donor, corporate, foundation and grant follow up. Coordinate timely and accurate donor acknowledgments and thank you letters. Track donor interactions and engagement within the donor database. Assist with the planning and execution of donor stewardship events both at the Club and throughout the community. Maintain accurate donor records, mailing lists and email lists within BGCN's donor database. Prepare accurate fundraising reports for staff leadership, the Board of Directors, audits, Boys & Girls Clubs of America, funders and other stakeholders. Help create donor communications, campaign materials, email content and other development related materials. Support the organization and execution of five or more fundraising and stewardship events throughout the year. Work closely with the Director of Development and other BGCN staff to keep development projects organized and moving forward.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience. Experience in fundraising, nonprofit development, communications, marketing, public relations, sales, marketing or a related field is preferred. Previous nonprofit or fundraising experience is preferred but not required. Experience working with a CRM, fundraising database or similar system is preferred. Salesforce experience is a plus. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace. Experience with Canva or similar design tools is a plus. Strong written and verbal communication skills. A genuine interest in building relationships with donors, businesses and community partners. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and deadlines. Self-motivated and comfortable taking ownership of projects while working collaboratively with a team. Strong attention to detail, particularly when working with donor information, financial data and deadlines. High level of professionalism, integrity and discretion when working with confidential information. Comfortable communicating with donors and community members by phone, email and in person. Passion for the mission of the Boys & Girls Club and serving youth and families in Noblesville and Hamilton County. Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends for fundraising, stewardship and community events. Why BGCN?
