The fundraising plan will include goals, strategies, and programming that engages all constituents and demonstrates growth each year. The Annual Giving Manager will also work to ensure the effective administration of annual gifts through acknowledgment letters, recognition of donors in the Annual Report of Gifts, and succinct reports and communications, such as pledge reminders, to appropriate constituents. This individual will identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward meaningful relationships with established and potential donors through individual meetings, seeking and securing gifts for the NEWMAN fund and identifying potential leadership, campaign, and planned-giving prospects.
Responsibilities:
In consultation with the Director of Advancement and Associate Director of Advancement, execute strategic and tactical plans for achieving annual giving goals. Identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward assigned pool of managed prospects. Set 8-10 donor and prospect visits per month, both locally and nationally. Create and manage a comprehensive fundraising plan and appeal calendar for the NEWMAN fund, and special giving days. Work collaboratively with members of the Advancement Office to coordinate appropriate NEWMAN fund solicitations, including strategy and stewardship of donors and prospects. Set dollar and participation goals for the NEWMAN fund in consultation with the Director of Advancement, Associate Director of Advancement, and the Business Office. Strategize and execute engagement and giving strategies for all constituents including parents and alumni, faculty/staff, and other community members. In consultation with the Associate Director of Advancement and Alumni Relations Manager, strategize and implement a robust alumni and reunion giving structure. Create and manage an appeal and stewardship calendar to communicate with potential and current donors through traditional and digital methods (i.e. email, phonathons, direct mail, social media, website content, and personal visits). Identify, recruit, and manage NEWMAN fund Work with the Database Manager to prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and other NEWMAN fund reports, develop custom reports, and maintain constituent information in our database. Work with the Database Manager to manage gift receipting and acknowledgment procedures. Utilize Raiser's Edge to track visits, produce contact notes, and conduct appropriate constituent follow-up. Create appeals and marketing materials, as well as maintain NEWMAN fund section of the School's website. Attend on-campus and off-campus events as necessary.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree preferred and 3-5+ years of annual fundraising and/or educational experience and/or an equivalent combination of experience. Demonstrated analytical and fundraising skills. Demonstrated organizational and communication skills as well as the ability to work with and motivate other development professionals and volunteers. Excellent skill and understanding of computer and constituent-management software required, including Microsoft Office; Raiser's Edge experience preferred. Ability to work independently and within a team environment. Excellent written and oral communication skills. A highly energetic and enthusiastic personality, with excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and time-management skills. The willingness and ability to represent Isidore Newman School professionally on campus and off-campus. (Some travel, evenings, and weekend work required.)
