Job Description

LEADERSHIP GIVING OFFICER
(LGO), Civil and Environmental Engineering, will create and execute a comprehensive, strategic development plan, designed to raise financial support and awareness for CEE; and manage, build and execute successful fundraising strategies for a mature portfolio (including Core Team) creating individualized solicitation plans leading to major and principal gifts in support of MIT's fundraising priorities, capital projects and other departmental priorities.
REQUIRED
: Bachelor's degree, preferably in an engineering or scientific field, or equivalent; a minimum of three years of direct fundraising experience, preferably with a higher education organization; and exceptional interpersonal, organizational, project management, and communication skills-both written and oral-as well as time management skills; the ability to manage multiple projects with confidentiality and discretion; and a high level of computer competency, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
PREFERRED
: A proven record of successful cultivation and solicitation of 6-figure+ gifts and entrepreneurial approach to developing a prospect pool. Job #25102 Travel required for ~20% of time. 8/4/2025
