Recovery Sober Living St. Louis, MO Job Details Full-time $75,000 a year 14 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Dependent health insurance coverage Vision insurance Qualifications Research Bachelor's degree Full Job Description About the Role LIV Recovery is seeking a Director of Development to lead fundraising strategy, donor engagement, grant writing, and revenue development efforts that support the organization's mission and long-term sustainability. This position is a strong fit for a relationship-centered nonprofit fundraising professional who values dignity, respect, and inclusion; builds meaningful partnerships; manages multiple development priorities; and communicates organizational impact with clarity, professionalism, and care. Responsibilities Develop and implement fundraising campaigns, donor engagement plans, and stewardship strategies that reflect LIV Recovery's mission and respect the experiences of the people and communities served. Cultivate respectful, strengths-based relationships with individual donors, community partners, board members, and key stakeholders. Research, write, and manage grant opportunities from federal, state, local, and private funding sources using language that reflects dignity, hope, recovery, and community impact. Prepare reports, dashboards, and recommendations based on fundraising performance, donor trends, campaign outcomes, and mission-centered storytelling. Collaborate with leadership and program teams to gather impact stories, outcomes, and data for proposals and donor communications in a respectful, person-centered manner. Support board and stakeholder involvement in fundraising efforts and development planning. Represent LIV Recovery's mission, vision, and values through professional communication, relationship building, and inclusive language. Qualifications Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred. Experience in nonprofit fundraising, donor cultivation, stewardship, and grant writing. Knowledge of fundraising strategies, donor management systems, and ethical fundraising standards. Strong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to use respectful, person-centered language. Ability to manage projects, analyze data, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities. Commitment to working respectfully with people with diverse lived experiences, backgrounds, identities, partners, and communities. Relevant certifications, such as Certified Fundraising Executive or Certified Nonprofit Professional, are preferred. How to
