Able to Serve is seeking a motivated, relationship-focused, and highly organized professional to join our team as a full-time Development Manager. Able to Serve is a faith-based Christian Nonprofit Organization in Garner, North Carolina, dedicated to equipping adults with disabilities to discover their potential, develop life skills, and serve others. This position will lead Able to Serve's fundraising and development efforts, combining donor relationship development, fundraising strategy, grant writing, sponsorships, and development administration. The Development Manager will work closely with the Executive Director & leadership team to strengthen existing donor relationships, develop new funding opportunities, grow annual giving, and support major-gift and capital campaign efforts. We're looking for someone who enjoys connecting people to a meaningful mission and has the skills to turn those relationships into lasting support for the individuals and families we serve. Key Responsibilities Build and strengthen relationships with current and prospective donors, businesses, churches, and community partners. Identify new funding opportunities and develop strategies to increase donor engagement, retention, and giving. Research, write, and submit grant applications and required reports. Lead sponsorship solicitation and support annual giving campaigns, fundraising appeals, and special events. Identify and cultivate major-gift prospects for annual fund and support capital campaign fundraising efforts. Maintain accurate donor records, prospect pipelines, acknowledgments, and development reports. Represent Able to Serve at community meetings, networking opportunities, donor meetings, and presentations. Work alongside the Executive Director and Board to develop and implement fundraising strategies that support Able to Serve's mission and continued growth. Qualifications & Experience The ideal candidate is a strong relationship-builder and communicator with excellent writing, research, and organizational skills. This individual should be comfortable managing multiple priorities, building relationships with donors and community partners, and communicating the mission and impact of Able to Serve. Qualifications Minimum education requirements include a Bachelor's degree or at least four (4) years of development experience, or comparable experience; required Three (3) years of experience overseeing and managing development programs; preferred Excellent written and verbal communication skills; effective public speaking ability is a plus Passion for serving individuals with disabilities and a commitment to Able To Serve's mission Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational and project management skills Familiarity with DonorPerfect is a plus Experience in nonprofit fundraising, development, grant writing, sales, relationship management, or a related field is preferred. Experience with major gifts, sponsorships, fundraising campaigns, and donor databases is also beneficial. As Able to Serve continues to grow, this position will play an important role in building the relationships and financial support needed to expand our programs, create new opportunities, and serve more individuals and families in our community.

Pay:

$70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
