FUND DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR
Arc Herkimer Starting salary $75,000 | Full-Time 37.5 hours/ week with flexibility| Exempt Lead. Connect. Make an Impact. Are you a fundraising professional who knows how to build relationships, inspire support, and turn a great mission into meaningful community impact? Arc Herkimer is looking for a Fund Development Director to lead our fundraising and development efforts and help create a stronger future for the people and families we support. What You'll Do Lead and implement Arc Herkimer's annual fundraising and development plan. Build and grow relationships with individual donors, major donors, businesses, foundations, and community partners . Lead efforts in major gifts, annual giving, planned giving, corporate sponsorships, grants, and fundraising campaigns. Identify new funding opportunities and develop a strong, diverse donor pipeline. Coordinate fundraising events, sponsors, volunteers, and community partners. Research and coordinate grant opportunities, submissions, reporting, and compliance. Partner with the Board of Directors and volunteers to strengthen fundraising efforts. Collaborate with PR staff to create engaging donor communications, appeals, newsletters, annual reports, and impact stories. Track fundraising budgets, revenue, expenses, donor records, and performance. Represent Arc Herkimer throughout the community and build partnerships that increase awareness and support. What You Bring Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or related field required. 5+ years of fund development, fundraising, or nonprofit development experience required. Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) credential preferred. Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and relationship-building skills. Strong persuasion, negotiation, organization, and time-management skills. Budget and financial management experience preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn donor management and fundraising software. Why Arc Herkimer? This is more than a fundraising position.
