Drexel Academy is seeking a Fundraising and Development Manager to lead efforts to grow philanthropic support and build strong relationships with donors, foundations, corporations, churches, and community partners. Reporting directly to the Executive Director/Superintendent , this position will play a key role in strengthening Drexel Academy's financial sustainability and expanding resources for students and families. We are seeking a relationship-oriented, entrepreneurial professional who can identify opportunities, write compelling grants, cultivate donors, develop partnerships, and turn Drexel Academy's mission into meaningful opportunities for investment. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement an annual fundraising and development strategy. Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward individual, corporate, foundation, church, and community donors. Research and pursue grant opportunities and manage the grant process from application through reporting. Develop corporate sponsorships and community partnerships. Support major-gift and annual-giving initiatives. Create compelling fundraising proposals, donor communications, and impact stories. Plan and support fundraising events and donor engagement activities. Maintain accurate donor, prospect, grant, and fundraising records. Develop and manage a donor/prospect pipeline. Track fundraising goals, grants, donor engagement, and revenue. Provide monthly development reports to the Executive Director/Superintendent. Represent Drexel Academy at community, business, civic, and philanthropic events.

Qualifications Required:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Strong organizational and project-management skills. Ability to build authentic relationships and work independently. Professional judgment, initiative, persistence, and attention to detail. Commitment to education, children, families, and community impact.

Preferred:

Experience in nonprofit fundraising/development. Grant-writing experience. Experience with donor cultivation or major gifts. Corporate sponsorship or partnership-development experience. Experience with donor databases/CRM systems. Background in education, nonprofit, faith-based, or community organizations. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is more than a grant writer.
