Clients feel connected and inspired while exploring their personal journeys, increasing their self-awareness, and improving their quality of life. We are seeking a full time, experienced Development Director passionate about our mission to lead our ongoing fundraising efforts. As the Development Director, you will be responsible for building strong relationships with existing and prospective donors across multiple sectors. You will use your expert communication skills and keen sense of initiative to effectively convey the organization's mission, vision, programs and gift impact to external stakeholders; identify fundraising opportunities; build and maintain relationships with our current donors; cultivate new supporters; and develop and implement new strategies to secure funds. You should have a proven record of implementing successful fundraising campaigns and staff/volunteer leadership, and have the ability to inspire those around you. The position works closely with the Marketing Director and reports to the Executive Director. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Develop and implement annual fundraising plan using comprehensive fundraising strategies aligned with organizational priorities and objectives
Relationship Management :
Utilize effective relationship cultivation and management of donors, partners, volunteers, and stakeholders Identify and steward prospective individuals, corporations, and foundations Make direct, face-to-face solicitations Grant writing : Lead proposal writing efforts, including leading research, identifying new grant opportunities, managing data collection, and submitting proposals to secure fundingEvents Management :
Plan, coordinate, and oversee all organizational fundraising and cultivation events to maximize engagement and donor support. Manage Volunteer Event Committee as well as venue and vendor relationships Utilize and manage DonorPerfect for donor tracking, donor acknowledgement and data entry Oversee budgeting for development activities ensuring efficient allocation of resources Professional fundraising development : Conduct research on potential funding sources, community needs, and emerging trends in fundraising and nonprofit management. Interaction with Board of Directors and Board committees Prepare reports on fundraising progress for quarterly Board of Directors meetings Co-Staff (with Marketing Director) Development & Marketing Committee Recruit, train, and support key volunteers to assist in advancement efforts In collaboration with the Executive Director, support Board members in achieving their Give/Gets Collaboration with Marketing Director, Volunteers, and internal teams Create digital funding opportunities (Direct Mail Appeals and Monthly Giving Campaign) and online content creation to increase visibility and engagement Support marketing initiatives and lead events management to promote organizational programs and priorities Other duties as assignedIdeal Experience and Skills:
- Proven record of exceeding or meeting fundraising goals and securing major gifts
- Proven experience in event planning and events management.
- Excellent grant proposal development and writing skills.
- Experience with fundraising campaigns across multiple channels including online platforms.
- Strong prospect identification and qualification skills
- Ability to collect and analyze data for strategic planning purposes.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading ability
- Effective negotiation skills for securing sponsorships and partnerships.
- Strong relationship management, verbal communication, and presentation skills to foster donor loyalty and community engagement.
- Superior organization and time management skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Suite, Google Suite, as well as database management, CRM skills and other fundraising technologies/platforms
- Comfortable with public speaking
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- You are a highly motivated and organized professional with a can-do attitude, sense of humor, and flexibility.
Pay:
